Abstract

Globalization in health care brings countries closer to each other thanks to the tools offered by information technologies, allowing us to interact and exchange knowledge and experiences more quickly and efficiently (1).

This complex phenomenon has a multidimensional impact on health; it is important because it allows us to understand the risks and opportunities it presents, and to work to ensure that globalization contributes to the universalization, coverage, sustainability and equity of health systems.

The academic debate in Public Health has recently focused on pro-globalization authors who emphasize the potential benefits of using new information technologies to achieve system efficiency through tele-medicine or tele-health as a tool that would meet the objectives of universal coverage (2).

In the winter of 2024 I received the honor of being part of the editorial committee of “Salud Militar” (Military Health) at a meeting of experts in Latin American Health Systems convened by the School of Government of the Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey financed by the Real Instituto Elcano of Madrid, we established the permanent commitment to strengthen and guarantee the sustainability, quality and integrity of what you have in sight.

This issue is extremely complete and addresses issues of utmost importance in public health for the efficient care of oncological diseases. We find a study that measures the coverage of radiotherapy equipment in the Americas and Eastern Europe, as well as the importance of strategic planning for forecasting the final cycle of the technology.

The importance of Tumor Microenvironment science in favoring tumor cure.

The therapies that favor the integration and communication to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder are having a positive impact through the coexistence with equines. The study that we find in this edition documents in a professional way the support to promote this therapeutic activity.

The results obtained in the bibliographic review strengthen the historical publications on how the use of horses favors cognition, communication, responsibility, self-control, sensory search, emotional reaction, lack of attention/distraction and sensory sensitivity.

In countries such as Mexico, progress is being made in the generation of laws and regulations that allow the state to make investments in the public health system to integrate these strategies that strengthen therapeutic interventions.

But there is no doubt that systematically advancing in research will allow to provide better care to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
