Within a bibliographic material admitted to the Montevidean ex American Antiquarian Library “Linardi y Risso” a curious and unpublished manuscript in the form of a diary kept in the Lazaretto of Isla de Flores, Rio de la Plata, Uruguay, 1899, was rescued.
An unpublished manuscript that preserves the attractiveness of its spontaneous writing, in the day by day of the lazaretto of the Island of Flores and that contributes to the better knowledge of that enormous and complex organization, the biggest from the pre-pasteurian infectologic point of view that built Uruguay. And that adds to the few original documentary contributions that have been made public.
